We know that young people who grow up in foster care are more likely to experience homelessness, job insecurity, unexpected pregnancy, and justice system involvement. Children do better when they are connected to kin, both biological relatives and their chosen family like neighbors, teachers, or family friends. They experience good physical and mental health, do better in school, and are more likely to reunify and remain connected with their birth families. We believe that every child has a family and finding and supporting them changes everything.
